Alison Smith

With over 20 years of professional experience in the NHS, Alison holds a Diploma HE in Adult Nursing from Southampton University and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner Qualification through Wessex Deanery.

Alison is a lead advanced nurse practitioner for a GP practice with a patient list size of around 20,000. Prior to this Alison worked in emergency medicine. 

 

Alison is on track to complete her Masters (MSc) in Advanced Nursing Practice. Some of the areas she has focused on include pharmacology and prescribing in clinical practice, and management of adult diabetes in primary and secondary care.

 

Additionally, Alison holds a Certificate in Healthy Weight Coach Training Programme. Her motivation for supporting healthy living goals within the community comes from a desire to enhance patient care and provide evidence-based, holistic support to help clients achieve their personal goals. Alison offers individualised attention to ensure each patients aims and objectives are met.
