During Your Appointment
Your 30-minute appointment follows strict GP-led clinical pathways to ensure maximum safety and comfort. When you visit us, Zoe or Gavin will guide you through the following steps:
1. Clinical Examination: We will visually inspect your ear canal and eardrum using a medical-grade otoscope to assess the blockage.
2. Method Selection: Based on the type and position of the wax, we will recommend the safest removal method—typically dry microsuction, or occasionally controlled warm water irrigation.
3. Gentle Removal: Using a low-pressure medical vacuum, the wax is gently extracted under direct magnification.
4. Aftercare: We conduct a final check of your ear health and provide advice on preventing future buildup.
