Clinically Guided Blood Monitoring Across England

At Calleva Clinic, we believe in transparent, patient-focused care. We offer comprehensive, private blood test investigations for patients anywhere in England, but our clinicians will only suggest a test if it is clinically indicated to support your health journey.

To ensure the highest quality results, our diagnostics are facilitated through one of the UK's leading, accredited blood testing laboratories. This guarantees reliable, fast and convenient testing without the need to navigate complicated hospital referrals.

Expert Interpretation & Safe Ongoing Care

Once your sample is processed, your Calleva Clinic clinician will thoroughly review and interpret your results in the context of your personalised care plan. Should any of your results highlight an issue that falls outside our clinic’s scope of practice, rest assured that we will safely signpost you to the appropriate specialist or healthcare provider for your next steps.

Blood Test Package Options

Clinician Arranged Blood Monitoring for Weight Loss Injections (GLP-1)

Your safety is our top priority. Before or during your medical weight loss journey, your Calleva Clinic clinician may recommend a comprehensive 34-biomarker blood panel if you haven't had recent blood tests. This ensures GLP-1 medications are safe and highly effective for your unique biology by checking vital markers, including kidney, liver, and pancreas health. While we can seamlessly arrange this blood draw for you at a local partner clinic or via a home-visit nurse anywhere in England, there is absolutely no obligation to book your tests through us. We are more than happy to accept recent, relevant blood test results from your GP or another healthcare provider.

VENOUS BLOOD DRAW
A traditional venous blood sample (taken from a vein in your arm)

Self-arrange a professional sample collection: £89

The sample kit will be posted to you. You then make an appointment at a phlebotomy clinic to have your venous blood sample taken. You will be responsible for arranging your appointment and any additional fees.

At a national clinic partner location: £89 + £35 = £124

Visit one of the national clinic partners. You will receive an email you instructions on how to book after your order has been processed.

Home visit appointment with a nurse: £89 + £59 = £148

Book a home nurse appointment.

Special Instructions

Prepare for your test by following these instructions. Take your sample between 6am and 10am. Avoid vigorous exercise or sexual activity for 48 hours beforehand – both can raise your prolactin level. Avoid nipple stimulation or heavy meals before taking the test, as these can increase prolactin levels. Take this test two to five days after the start of your period, ideally on day three if you're taking this test to learn more about your fertility. It can be taken any time if you do not have periods.

Do not take biotin supplements for two days before this test, discuss this with your doctor if it is prescribed. Hormonal contraception can affect the results of this test. Taking a break from this and waiting for your periods to restart before your blood test will give more accurate results. Please also let us know in the supporting information if you take amiodarone or lithium, as these can also affect your results.
